Facebook Communication

Analyze the complementarities between text and image design and find out how companies can effectively communicate via Facebook.

Facebook has become an important platform for organizations to communicate with customers. Prior research has found, that multimedia messages increase customer engagement. It is an open research question, how status text and image design complement each other. From communication theory it is know that verbal and non-verbal communication are interpreted simutaneously and that the interplay of these two is important. The goal of this thesis is to use data on organizations' facebook communication to study this interplay.
