Innovation Accounting – Measuring and Steering Digital Innovation Projects in Organizations (MA)

Design Thinking has gained increasing attention as a wicked problem solving approach capable to deliver innovative products and services. While we know about the widespread application of DT in a variety of different contexts (Start-Up, SME’s, Accelerator, Venture Capital, Large Corporate) there is less evidence when it comes to steering and measuring DT and Innovation projects with quantitative and qualitative Indicators. Building on prior work and an existing database of KPI’s this thesis will follow a Design Science Research Approach to develop a KPI dashboard to measure, steer and plan the application of Design Thinking projects in organizations. We are especially open for company collaborations where the developed dashboard can be tested.
